| Commentary | Don Quixote knelt before three peasant girls mounted on donkeys while Sancho introduces one of them to don Quixote as the enchanted Dulcinea.
Scene resolved with notable comical realism; the three peasant girls are specially ugly (they look more like men in women clothes). Well-known scene, with little novelty, but good illustration. |
