Commentary | In don Antonio Moreno's house, during a ball, don Quixote pushes away two tempting ladies; "Fugite partes adversae".
Varderbank does not respect one detail from Cervantes' text: "se sentó en mitad de la sala en el suelo, molido" (62:2); in the illustration, don Quixote is seated on a chair. Illustration of great quality; excellent drawing and engraving for the figures, but poor setting. |
