Commentary | After getting tangled with a net (on the ground), don Quixote and Sancho meet two shepherdesses who recognize them; "Yo apostaré que este buen hombre que viene consigo, es un tal Sancho Panza su escudero [...] Asà es la verdad, dijo Sancho, que yo soy ese gracioso" (58:2).
Vanderbank and Oldfield are interested in representing the dialogue through the gestures (see one shepherdess and Sancho's hands). Drawing and engraving are excellent and well-detailed. |
