Commentary | "Let me kiss your hand, Señora Doña Teresa,...".
The Duchess' page knelt before Sancho's wife, Teresa Panza; beside them, her daughter Sanchica, barefoot accurate to Cervantes' text. Well-known scene and composition, resolved with little novelty, but the figures are remarkable and the use of light too; very luminous illustration. García Ramos’ drawing keeps the realistic/picturesque style used by José and Luis Jiménez Aranda for the first part. |
