Encounter at night between don Quixote, standing on his bed, wrapped in a blanket and bandaged, and doña Rodríguez, holding a candle and wearing spectacles. Well-known scene and composition, resolved with little novelty, but the figures are very remarkable and the light and shadow effects too. García Ramos’ drawing keeps the realistic/picturesque style used by José and Luis Jiménez Aranda for the first part. |
