Don Quixote and Sancho encounter the Duchess hunting with her servants; don Quixote orders Sancho to go to ask for her permission to kiss her hand and to serve her. Good figures and original choice of the represented instant (not the well-known moment when Sancho kneels before the Duchess). Alpériz' drawing tries to keep the realistic/picturesque style used by José and Luis Jiménez Aranda for the first part. |
