Commentary | "Quiteria approached him, and kneeling,...".
Quiteria kneels before Basilio, held by don Quixote and pretending to have stabbed himself; observing the scene, a priest, Sancho, Camacho and others. Good scene, but with figures of unequal quality; Basilio, Sancho, Camacho and the male figure beside him are quite remarkable. Cabrera's drawing tries to keep the realistic/picturesque style used by José and Luis Jiménez Aranda for the first part. |
