| Commentary | "Don Quixote merely observed him steadily,...".
Don Quixote, standing still, ready to fight with a lion, but the animal remains into its cage although the lionkeeper has opened it. In the background, Sancho, don Diego and the carter. Well-known scene and composition, resolved with little novelty. Good figures and setting. Cabrera's drawing tries to keep the realistic/picturesque style used by José and Luis Jiménez Aranda for the first part. |
