Commentary | "But at length the next day, at daybreak, they descried the great city of El Toboso,...".
Good figures and good composition. The smoke from the chimneys results excessive (it looks more like a fire). Remarkable representation of daybreak light. Alpériz's drawing keeps the realistic/picturesque style used by José and Luis Jiménez Aranda for the first part; now, the shading is stronger, darker. |
