Commentary | ".... then we have agreed that our daughter is to be a countess".
Sancho talking to his wife, Teresa Panza, about his next sally with don Quixote; above them, some of the scenes of his imagined new adventures with don Quixote and the honors that await him. Well-resolved scene with the combination of real and imagined scenes. Bilbao's drawing tries to keep the realistic/picturesque style used by José and Luis Jiménez Aranda for the first part, but now the figures are lightly more expressionist and unfinished. Notice the white and black / light and shadow contrasts; good plastic effect. |
