	Commentary	"Luscinda, Dorothea, the landlady, her daughter and Maritornes,...". Zoraida surrounded by Maritornes, Luscinda, the innkeeper's wife, her daughter and Dorotea, who offers her to stay with them. Remarkable figures, with excellent gestures. Great interest in representing real Spanish characters and accurate period clothes, setting and details; good contrast with Zoraida's Moorish clothes. Jiménez Aranda's drawing skill is masterly; remarkable use of light and shadow with impressionist effects.
	Notes	1 – Reproduction of the original sketch (Chinese ink and gouache white). Jiménez Aranda meant to paint a more-finished drawing after this sketch using natural sceneries and real models, but he died before completing the project. 2 - "Mucho encanto tiene, por cierto, la composición, sólo de figuras de mujer, en que vemos á la mora entre Dorotea, Luscinda, la ventera, su hija y Maritornes, con el consiguiente contraste de estos tipos bastos y aquéllos delicados" (José Ramón Mélida: “Don José Jiménez Aranda y su "Quijote"", vol.
