| Commentary | "«All I can tell you», said the goatherd, «is that about six months ago....»".
In Sierra Morena, the goatherd begins to tell don Quixote and Sancho the story of wild mad man Cardenio. Remarkable figures; great interest in representing real Spanish characters and accurate period clothes and details; picturesque. Jiménez Aranda's drawing skill is masterly; remarkable use of light and shadow with impressionist effects. |
