	Commentary	"«What art thou laughing at, Sancho?», said Don Quixote...". When Sancho begins to laugh seeing don Quixote with the barber basin on his head (Mambrino's helmet), the knight asks him the cause of his laughter. Figures with good gestures (dialogue). Notice the picturesque detail of Sancho's donkey and the barber's one. Jiménez Aranda's drawing skill is masterly; remarkable use of light and shadow with impressionist effects; notice the landscape, the wet ground...
	Notes	1 – Reproduction of the original sketch (Chinese ink and gouache white). Jiménez Aranda meant to paint a more-finished drawing after this sketch using natural sceneries and real models, but he died before completing the project. 2 - "... en un paisaje que ejecutó con mucho acento pictórico, haciendo resaltar el vivo efecto del suelo mojado" (José Ramón Mélida: “Don José Jiménez Aranda y su "Quijote"", vol.
