	Commentary	"... at Rocinante's top speed he bore down upon him with the pike pointed low,...". Don Quixote, galloping on Rocinante, charges against the barber (wearing on his head the basin, Mambrino's helmet). Remarkable figures (notice the barber's expression) and good composition. Jiménez Aranda's drawing skill is masterly; remarkable use of light and shadow with impressionist effects; notice the landscape.
	Notes	1 – Reproduction of the original sketch (Chinese ink and gouache white). Jiménez Aranda meant to paint a more-finished drawing after this sketch using natural sceneries and real models, but he died before completing the project. 2 - "... en un paisaje que ejecutó con mucho acento pictórico, haciendo resaltar el vivo efecto del suelo mojado" (José Ramón Mélida: “Don José Jiménez Aranda y su "Quijote"", vol.
