| Commentary | Don Quixote and Sancho are abducted by several men armed with lances (Duke's servants); every time that don Quixote or Sancho try to speak, the men order them to keep quiet (see gestures).
Composition divided in two groups: in the foreground, don Quixote and several men; in the background, Sancho and others. Accurately-resolved scene. Drawing and engraving are masterly; notice don Quixote mounted on Rocinante with an excellent sad expression and the man on horseback on the left. |
