Commentary | At the Duke's palace, Altisidora, held by Emerencia, pretends to faint when she encounters don Quixote.
Simple and theatrical composition; it has been resolved accurately to Cervantes' text. First representation of this episode; original choice. Drawing and engraving are excellent and highly-detailed in the figures, but poor in the setting. |
