Commentary | Don Quixote remains still with his beard soaped by the Duchess' maidens while the Duchess, the Duke, Sancho and several servants and maidens witness the scene.
Carbonero and Barrau's styles are quite different; Carbonero's more realistic in keeping with 19th century landscape painting and Barrau's more idealized in keeping with 19th century Catalonian history painting. Good drawing and coloring, but the figures look forced. |
