Commentary | Don Quixote and Sancho, both blindfolded, mounted on Clavileño while Duke's servants simulate its flight with pairs of bellows and torches; in the background, the Duke and Duchess (sketched); on the left, Countess Trifaldi.
Sancho's frightened face is quite remarkable. Well-known scene; it has been resolved with a traditional composition. |
