Commentary | In the middle ground, don Quixote mounted on Rocinante talking to Alonso López, defeated and fallen on the ground with his mule, while the other ecclesiastics run away (background).
In the foreground, as main part of the scene, Sancho unloading the sumpter mule of the ecclesiastics. Good illustration; the figures are resolved with realism, specially Sancho, quite remarkable. |
