Commentary | Sancho explains to the Duchess how he "enchanted" Dulcinea; also in the scene, several maidens and dueñas.
Excellent drawing/etching style; notice the carefully-done faces of the Duchess, maidens and dueñas, more real and less idealized than in illustrations by previous artists. Remarkable setting too. |
Notes | 1 - Same illustration first published in London: J. C. Nimmo and Bain, 1880.
2 - Placed as frontispiece. |
