Commentary | After having been defeated by the Knight of the White Moon, don Quixote remains in bed melancholy and moody; meanwhile, Sancho tries to comfort him.
This illustration is excellent, not only because its drawing and engraving are masterly, but because the atmosphere of silent, sadness and melancholy has been suggested perfectly. |
