Commentary | In the Alcaná of Toledo, Don Quixote's second author (Cervantes) finds Cide Hamete's manuscript with the continuation of the Basque's episode.
The scene, accurate to Cervantes' text, includes him, a boy selling old papers and a Morisco reading/translating the manuscript. Illustration resolved as a picturesque genre secene. |
