Commentary | In the foreground, don Quixote asleep into Montesinos' cave and still holding his sword.
In the middle ground, as a scene dreamt by don Quixote, Montesinos kneels before Durandarte's tomb and introduces him to don Quixote (now standing). In the background, Belerma's procession with Durandarte's heart. Good drawing and engraving. This is one of the best illustrations of the edition. |
