Commentary | At the inn, the housekeeper's wife and her daughter take care of don Quixote, in bed, while Maritornes holds an oil lamp; Sancho complains about his back.
This illustration reminds quite much the one designed by Agustín Navarro for Madrid: Gabriel Sancha, 1797-1798. The position and gestures of the characters have been changed, but the whole composition is very similar. |
