Commentary In the center of the composition, don Quixote embraces Sancho before leaving for Barataria Island; on the left, the Duke and servants; on the right, the Duchess and servants.
Theatrical and well-balanced composition.
Court scene in keeping with Coypel's style (gallery of Ionic columns, detailed architectures, fountains, rich clothes...).
