Commentary | In the Duke's palace, after eating, some Duchess' maidens wash don Quixote's beard.
Good, accurate and original representation of the text; "y al mismo tiempo comenzó a llover el aguamanil" (32:2). Notice one of the maidens covering her face to avoid laughing. Drawing and engraving are excellent; notice Houghton's characteristic style of long wavy lines. |
