Commentary | Montesinos knelt before Durandarte's tomb and accompanied by don Quixote inside the cave.
Well-known scene, but Lalauze remarkable and detailed style makes it unique; carefully-drawn and etched setting (a Gothic cloister), light and shadow effects and expressions (notice Montesinos' face). Excellent drawing and engraving. |
