| Commentary | Well-known scene, but Lalauze's illustration is especially remarkable.
Scene resolved with great force and violence; perfectly-resolved action only with the main characters (don Quixote and the Knight of the Mirrors/Sansón Carrasco), without anecdotal or secondary characters (Sancho and the Knight of the Mirrors' squire/Tomé Cecial). Excellent drawing and engraving; carefully-detailed figures. |
