Commentary | The priest, barber, niece and innkeeper during the scrutiny of don Quixote's library.
The niece holds the books, the priest and the barber read and select the ones that can be saved and the houseekeeper throws through the window the ones that must be burnt. Figures drawn without naturalism, excepting some good details (notice the priest's expression). Dark setting and simple composition. |
