| Commentary | Original narrative composition with several scenes ordered like a comic: dialogue between Montesinos and Durandarte, lying on his tomb; Belerma's procession; Belerma's portrait (very accurate to Cervantes' description), Durandarte's heart and the large dagger used by Montesinos ("... porque no fue daga, ni pequeña"; 23:2); and don Quixote, accompanied by Montesinos, observes the enchanted Dulcinea running away.
Excellent drawing and engraving; very interesting illustration. |
