Commentary | Sancho, knelt, receives don Quixote's blessings before leaving for Barataria Island; the Duke and the Duchess witness the scene.
Although the whole scene seems theatrical and artificial, the figures have been resolved with great detail, almost as real portraits; notice the figures of the Duke and Duchess, with great dignity, or don Quixote's, worth noting. Excellent drawing and engraving. |
