Commentary | During the night, Sancho needs to relieve himself, but he is too frightened as to go away from don Quixote.
Don Quixote, mounted on Rocinante, covers his nose with his hand when he smells Sancho's "fear". Accurate to Cervantes' text, Rocinante's legs are tied (Sancho's trick). Good drawing and engraving. |
