Commentary | Basilio and Quiteria, followed by their companions and friends and by don Quixote and Sancho, leave while Camacho's celebrations continue.
Doré has designed a very complex composition, full with hundreds of figures, movement and action; there are many little different actions, the most of them very comical (people running to catch the coins thrown by Quiteria, a gentleman in his hand-chair abandoned by his servants, musicians...). Drawing and engraving are excellent. |
