| Commentary | Don Quixote is beaten by the groom of a group of silk merchants from Toledo.
Doré's drawing style, firm and quick, has been perfectly reproduced by Pisan´s engraving; notice the different style between foreground figures (well-detailed) and background ones (more sketched and undetailed). Doré reproduces clothes, expressions, details and "tipos" from his sketches made in Spain (1862). |
