Commentary | Well-known scene; don Quixote is knighted by the innkepper, who holds the sword and a book, while a youth holds a candle, doña Molinera the spurs and doña Tolosa the scabbard.
The scene has been resolved with quite little novelty and it reminds the style of 18th century Spanish illustrated editions (as Madrid: Ibarra, 1780). Drawing and engraving are acceptable, but not remarkable. |
