Commentary | In the center of the composition, don Quixote embraces Sancho before the squire leaves for Barataria Island.
On the left, the Duke and servants; on the right, the Duchess and servants with Sancho's donkey. Theatrical and well-balanced composition; court scene suitable to Coypel's style (Ionic columns gallery, detailed architectures, fountains, rich clothes...).
