Commentary | In Barataria, Sancho judges a man accused of raping a woman.
There is a good contrast between the figures of the accused man and the accusing woman (restless) and Sancho (calm and serene). |
Notes | 1 - Excellent and highly-detailed copy after Gilbert's illustration (London: Charles Daly, 1842 and London: Bohn, 1842). |
