| Commentary | Don Quixote and Sancho kneel down before three peasant girls; Sancho introduces one of them to don Quixote as the enchanted Dulcinea.
Well-known scene. Excellent drawing and engraving. Very expressive faces, almost like caricatures. Remarkable and highly-detailed ornamental frame; it includes elements about Dulcinea (flowers, pearl collars, incense...) and about Aldonza Lorenzo (garlics, onions...). |
