Commentary | Two groups of figures:
On the left, the priest marrying Basilio, "deadly injured", and Quiteria; Sancho observes them with distrust. On the right, don Quixote stops Camacho to allow the wedding. In the background, several figures. Scene resolved with great beauty (see Basilio and Quiteria's idealized figures in contrast with Sancho's naturalist face, almost grotesque). Excellent drawing and engraving. |
