Commentary | Two different scenes in the same illustration:
In the foreground, the officers of justice arrest don Quixote; one of them holds the document with don Quixote's description (45:2). In the background, don Quixote, "enchanted" in an oxcart, and Sancho Panza, whith his donkey and Rocinante, leave the inn; two characters (the barber and the priest?) disguised as enchanters follow them (47:2). Drawing and engraving are acceptable. |
