Commentary | At the inn, don Quixote, knelt down, is knighted by the innkeeper; also two "ladies" (doña Molinera and doña Tolosa) and a boy holding a candle.
Well-known scene; resolved with a traditional composition. Excellent combination of lithographic pencil (drawing and shading), sepia background and reserves in white to create a very remarkable atmosphere and light/shadow effects. |
