Commentary | Well-known scene since Savery (Savery: Dordrecht, 1657); don Quixote attacks maese Pedro's theater trying to help don Gaiferos and Melisendra to flee away.
Maese Pedro appears from inside the theater, the boy who was explaining the story gesticulates and Sancho and others observe don Quixote amazed. Drawing is excellent, but it is a scene with little novelty. |
