Commentary Minos and Rhadamanthus, dressed as kings and seated on a stage with the Duke and Duchess, announce the way by which Altisidora can be resurrected; don Quixote and Sancho, in a lower position, listen to them.
The gloomy atmosphere of the scene has been well-resolved (notice the dark figures in the foreground).
Notes 1 - Same illustration and wooden block first used for Paris: Dubochet, 1836-37.
2 - This is one of the few illustrations signed by Tony Johannot.
