Commentary | Small and charming vignette with the dance of the shepherdesses during Camacho's wedding (with a venerable old man, an ancient woman and a pipe player; it should be a Zamora bagpipes player) .
The figures of the shepherdesses are of great grace and delicacy, with good movements. Compare with the illustration by Coypel (Paris: Surugue, 1724 and others). |
Notes | 1 - Same illustration and wooden block first used for Paris: Dubochet, 1836-37. |
