Commentary | Well-known scene; Sancho, while he holds the reins of "Dulcinea"'s donkey, introduces her to don Quixote, who kneels before her.
This print is very close to Antonio Carnicero's illustration (Madrid: Ibarra, 1780), whose composition has been almost copied (turned). |
