| Commentary | Scene imagined by don Quixote: "Debía de estar retirada, entonces -respondió don Quijote-, en algún pequeño apartamiento de su alcázar, solazándose a solas con sus doncellas, como es uso y costumbre de las altas señoras y princesas" (9:2).
