Commentary | Reference to the dialogue between the priest and the judge; don Juan Pérez de Viedma talks about his father: "Vive aún mi padre, muriendo con el deseo de saber de su hijo mayor, y pide a Dios con continuas oraciones no cierre la muerte sus ojos hasta que él vea con vida a los de su hijo" (42:1).
This portrait is excellent; his eyes transmit a great emotiveness. |
Notes | 1 - Same illustration and wooden block first used for Paris: Dubochet, 1836-37. |
