Commentary | Second reference to the discourse of don Quixote about the ideal knight; the knight is introduced by the King to the Queen and the Princess; "y luego le llevará por la mano, al aposento de la señora Reina, adonde el caballero la hallará con la Infanta su hija, que ha de ser una de las mas hermosas y acabadas
doncellas" (21:1). Good example of Johannot's interest in illustrating don Quixote's fantasies, in keeping with Romanticism liking. |
