Commentary | Fourth and last illustration dedicated to this adventure.
The Basque lady, accompanied by another one, kneels before don Quixote and asks him not to hurt the Basque (fallen in the background). Don Quixote and the Basque lady's figures have been highlighted by a precise drawing and engraving, while the second lady and the Basque remain sketched. |
