Commentary | In the foreground, don Quixote is ready to fight with a lion while the lionkeeper opens the gate of the cage.
In the background, Sancho and don Diego de Miranda running away. This composition, with not many changes, will be used until the 20th century. Drawing and engraving are bad. |
